Belly Buddies

My cousin Sarah and her husband came to visit us on their way up to Chicago. Our due dates are only a week apart so we have a lot to talk about! We had to get the customary belly pics of ourselves. We love it when our frousins come to visit!

The beautiful brinde in front of the SLC temple

When in Utah it is a must to eat at Cafe Rio with Ang
Well going to Salt Lake City was certainly a lot of fun! My cousin Angie picked me up at the airport and from that time on I had an awesome time (I dont like airplanes very much). I got to go to Cafe Rio twice which is my all time favorite place to eat. Yummy! Thanks to Angie for carting me around the whole time. I got to see my many family members in Utah and that was awesome. Angie and I spent alot of time giggling and eating, which are our favorite past times...haha. The wedding was beautiful and I love going through a session at the Salt Lake Temple. It was amazing.

Wedding #1- Sunny San Diego

The beautiful bride and the dashing groom cutting the cake

I loved the cake! So pretty!

Da girls (Lyndsey, Rhonda, Chelsea, Jen and Sadie)

Da boys (Jeff, Hansi, Hans, Ben and Landry)

Loving the ocean scene and the beautiful weather
In April I went to two wonderful weddings. I LOVE weddings. I love seeing the brides get all gussied (is that a word?) up. I love seeing friends and family. I love going to the temple and seeing two people get sealed together for time and all eternity. Such a great time. The first wedding was in San Diego for Hans' brother Jeff. He married a great gal named Lyndsey. When we left Louisville it was 40 degrees and when we got there it was 75. It was a great place for a wedding. Not to mention that the San Diego temple is gorgeous. We had not seen Hansi's parents for two years!!! It was great to see the family and see two love birds tie the knot. We love you Jeff and Lyndsey!

Rome Part 1

Mumsy at a yummy Roman restaurant.
We ate our favorite......spaghetti!!

Our tour guide Carlo in the Colloseum was awesome!

Wide view of the Colloseum.
My mom and I just got back from our trip to Rome!! I got to go for a work meeting. It was amazing. When I was told I got to go to Rome for work I thought it would be fun to invite my mumsy to meet me there. The company sent me first class on the airplane which was such a treat. It is definitly more pleasant to fly in first class when you are going oversees. I got to sleep almost the entire way! Anyways, when I got to Rome my mom met me at the hotel and off we went to explore. We ended up going to the Colloseum which is something I feel like everyone needs to see for themself. My mom had bought this book called "Rick Steve's" which I think is a must when travelling Europe. He tells you all the tricks of the trade and the best way to travel and see the sights. He also tells you the "local" places to eat that are truly authentic and not so touristy. After the Colloseum we went to the Roman Forum and did Rick Steves walking tour. We had a such a great time. The next night we went to see the Trevi Fountain and then we ate a yummy restaurant that we found by wandering around. It was delicious!! I am still dreaming about the delicious balsamic vinegar. That is all for now. Part 2 to come....

All About Me

I found this tag on my frousin's (friend+cousin) blog and I thought it was a fun one. Here goes

What I was doing 20 years ago: Playing at my best friends house and bossing her around (I love ya Mel). I thought when I was at her house I was the guest so I got to decide what to do. Then when she was at my house I told her I got to decide what to do since it was MY house. Good logic.

15 years ago: I started cross-country running under the inspiration of my 5th grade teacher and I am still running today. I was Irish dancing and traveling to dance competitions frequently. I still liked to wear sweat pants to school even though the guy behind me made fun of me (I even decorated my sweat pants with puffy paint....I loved that stuff)

10 years ago: Started high school and loved every minute of it. I ran for class president because my best friend told me too(now look whos the bossy one) and it was so much fun. I got my drivers permit and got into 2 accidents in one month :-) I worked at a clothing store and made no money because I spent it all on clothes. I never spent more than 1/2 an hour at home... I was just too busy.....

5 years ago: I was engaged to Hans (aka love of my life). I lived with the best roomies ever and never slept more than 3 hours a night. I have video evidence to prove that. I was working on my nursing degree and was loving every minute of it....well maybe not the day I had to do ear wax cleanings.......or the day I did my first enema....you have got to learn sometime!

3 years ago: Working in Labor and Delivery at Utah Valley hospital (aka. baby central), learning to work night shifts and feeling like a zombie person, getting nervous about Hans applying to dental school, discovering my passion for scrapbooking, training for a mini-marathon, learning how to cook

1 year ago: Living in Louisville and loving it, getting called as YW Pres, discovering another passion for card making

This year so far: Preggo!! Going to Rome for work and meeting my mom there, getting ready for two weddings in April and also getting ready for girls camp.

Yesterday: Babysitting for the Dicksons and watching the Lion King (I love that movie)

This year: Having a baby! I will be busy enough!
